Dr. John Carl Poggiolo is a graduate of Illinois College of Optometry. He gained his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Detroit. Upon returning to Michigan, he joined Vision Associates, P.C. in 1975, a diverse eye care practice founded in 1947, by Dr. Oscar C. Ross. Dr. John Carl Poggiolo has been practicing in the Detroit area for over thirty years, and our practice has been established for over 60 years.

At Vision Associates, P.C., he serves the vision care needs of the local community in a family-friendly way. He has been actively involved in the Warren community and surrounding areas. He is also served as a member of the Warren Lions Club and other organizations. He thinks of the VA staff as a family of people working together to help the eye care needs of our patients.

Dr. John Carl Poggiolo has a special interest in preventative eye care and contact lenses especially the more complicated designs for Orthokeratology (vision improvement), astigmatism, and bifocal-type lenses. He has served as a consultant on a number of contact lens companies and has helped design and improve many of the contact lenses in use today. Dr. John Carl Poggiolo is a member of the Michigan Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
